Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Cloudfonica billing, deployment options, and hardware compatibility.

How does Cloudfonica achieve up to 80% bandwidth optimization?

Cloudfonica uses proprietary CMER (Compression, Multiplexing & Encapsulation Routing) and IAX dual-tunnel protocols. Multiple simultaneous VoIP audio streams are dynamically multiplexed, header overhead is compressed, and silent packets are suppressed. A specialized dynamic jitter buffer smooths out network jitter from 120ms+ down to below 20ms.

How does the Hourly Pay-As-You-Go pricing work?

Cloudfonica billing is measured strictly by the active hour and channel count. For a 32-port deployment, our hourly rate is approximately $0.083/hour, equating to $60/month. There are zero setup fees, zero termination penalties, and no hardware lock-in. You can scale your port count up or destroy your service at any time.

Which VoIP gateways and IP PBX systems are supported?

Cloudfonica is vendor-agnostic and compatible with all standard SIP/IAX hardware and software platforms. We maintain dedicated, verified configuration profiles for Skyline, GoIP (all 1 to 32 port variants), Dinstar, Addpac, Asterisk, FreePBX, and OpenSIPS.

What hardware do I need to run Cloudfonica on-premises?

You can choose between three deployment models: 1) Cloud PC: Run our bootable ISO on any standard x86 PC or server; 2) Cloud PI: Flash our pre-packaged image onto an affordable Raspberry Pi board; or 3) Cloud Router: Install our CMER firmware directly onto supported OpenWrt network routers.

Where do I download the installation ISOs and tools?

All bootable gateway ISOs, SD card preparation utilities, OpenWrt firmware packages, and PDF hardware manuals are available on our centralized Downloads Hub.
